“As a kid growing up on the streets in the ’90s, I used to draw on the asphalt with chalk, fight, carry my scars, and dream. I was a passionate child with scraped knees and action heroes in my mind.”
Even then, I knew I had two passions — drawing and martial arts.
I got accepted into an art school — a place where artists were also fighters.
For me, that was utopia: art feeds the heart, and training feeds the body and spirit.
In the gym, I felt the need for visual motivation — something that carried meaning.
So I began to draw on clothes — first for myself, then for others.
